undaunted faith……

When I was a child I remember an incident that happened.
I was in my 2nd standard then and my moral science teacher had told us in class that, we should pray to God for our needs, and believe that He would do it for us.
So that night I knelt down and prayed to God.
“God all my neighbors have television and we don’t have one, today my teacher told me that if I ask to you it will be done, and I have one more need I want a sketch pen set, tomorrow morning I want you to keep it under my cot”
The next day morning I woke up and the first thing I did was to peep under my cot not to check God …..…but to take out what God would have kept for me……I was disappointed….i was not angry with God cuz I thought God would have been busy with so many people praying to Him for their needs.
That day when I came from school I found a new television and beside it a sketch pen set at home…….immediately I asked daddy “ papa this was under my cot right” Papa just smiled and told I got it for u dear. I asked him about the sketch. He told me that it was gift from my neighbor for me. I kept wondering. The next day I asked my teacher…...she told me “ Parents are God’s representatives on earth., God would have whispered to your parents about your needs and so they got it.
When I look back It seems funny.…..but a blind faith of that sort is now lacking in me.
Among the brilliant sayings of Jesus concerning prayer and faith, non is more interesting than this
“Verily verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name I will do it” John 14:12-14
